Another old acquaintance of Katie Waissel has lined up to take a pop at her.
Kristen Quantrell, who starred with the X Factor finalist in online reality show Green Eyed World, said that all the rumours about her desperate, fame hungry ways are true.
She told the Sunday Mirror: “She is a self-absorbed, big-headed drama queen who has earned good money as a singer and trampled all over people she considers beneath her. Even without X Factor fame she was a monster. I dread to think how much worse she will get.
“She was just absolutely desperate to be part of the celebrity scene. I remember once a guy tried to chat her up at a bar and she completely blanked him – until he told her he was a musician and that he’d won a Grammy.
“The moment she heard that her eyes just lit up and she made a massive play for him. But he saw through her and said, ‘Now do you want to f**k me?’. She just slunk away after that.”
Quantrell also claims that Waissel was only picked for the reality TV show, after she slept with the show’s producer Philipp Schwinger.
“[The director] hadn’t wanted Katie in the first place but Philipp fought for her,” she said. “The gossip was she’d had sex with him after the first audition. At the time we thought it was a bit weird because Philipp was a lot older than her, but thinking back I’m sure it helped her get the part.
“As far as Philipp was concerned Katie was just a fling, but at one stage when we were filming in Las Vegas, Katie said she wanted to marry him. She was crazy enough to do something like that but Philipp just cringed.”
